That title is because my little elementary students think I'm amazing. It's quite funny. I'm working on a comic right now that should pretty much sum that up. Oh, and "umai" means anything that's "really good." It's a very versatile adjective, used in a number of situations.
After a very long absence, I'm back. I've still been kicking around, but I haven't been posting any artwork...until last week. I miraculously saved up enough money to by myself an ipad and I've been trying out doodling digital whatever on a new paint program of some sort. It's the most highly technological gadget I own (the second after that would be my phone). I'm trying my luck at digital art now. It's a HUGE adjustment, quite tricky, and not as nice as my pencil and paper traditional method that I'm so fond of. Maybe I'll update more journals, too, since living in Japan is such an unreal experience at times. I still can't believe I get paid to look foreign and speak English.
Looks like a very, very easy few days lined up for me. Two classes today, two classes tomorrow, and no classes on Thursday. Other than making another "Let's happy English together with us!" (that sounds really bad for a reason; you should see some of the logos on shirts and various other signs here) poster for the hallway, I pretty much have nothing to do. Time to plug away at chapter 5 of my novel and draw up a new comic for da. That and my friend gave me a long list of books to read to aid in enhancing my writing ability.
Okay, okay, so random side note: I FINALLY got to watch the second Hobbit here in Japan. It was amazing! My friend and I couldn't stop talking about it. Our favourite characters are Smaug and the elf king. Both were brilliant. The completely made up kick butt elf girl was well done, too. I really want to see it again. I'm sure this hyped up energy about the movie will die down in a couple days...okay random note over.
